Who reviews our recommendations.

Every product guide on ChayanKart passes through a small editorial team before publication. The entities that do the work, the process each guide follows, and the standards every recommendation must meet are published openly — because that's what trust requires.

About the ChayanKart Editorial Desk

The ChayanKart Editorial Desk researches products across multiple categories to help Indian consumers make confident purchasing decisions. Authority on this site sits with the methodology — the proprietary Chayan Score framework — rather than any single individual. Every recommendation is independently prepared, follows the same scoring rubric, and is reviewed before publication.

ChayanKart Editorial Desk

Independent product researchers and editors covering electronics, home & kitchen, fitness, beauty, jewellery, books, and household categories. Every buying guide is sourced, drafted, and structured by the desk using the Chayan Score methodology.

Editorial decisions are never influenced by advertising partnerships or affiliate commissions. The desk has zero authority to adjust scores in exchange for placement.

ChayanKart Research Desk

The Research Desk is the internal review function. Before any guide is published, it independently verifies the underlying Chayan Score inputs — review aggregation, feature comparison, brand reliability signals, cross-platform availability, and pricing — against the source data.

If the Research Desk cannot reproduce a score from the methodology, the guide does not go live. This is the firewall between research and publication.

Our editorial process

Every buying guide on ChayanKart passes through these steps before publication:

Our editorial principles

Independent research
Transparent methodology
No paid rankings
Regular content updates
Honest recommendations
Consumer-first approach

Our testing methodology

Recommendations are not "we read reviews and picked our favourites". The Chayan Score combines five public, weighted signals:

The full formula, weights, version history and calibration data live on the methodology page. Anyone with the numbers can reproduce a Chayan Score from scratch.

Editorial standards every guide must meet

1. Sponsorship-free

No brand has ever paid ChayanKart to include, reject, score, copy-approve, or schedule a product. Affiliate commissions are paid by the destination marketplace only after a click-through purchase, and the commission rate is identical regardless of which product within a category we rank #1.

2. Published rejections

Every guide identifies what we considered and chose not to recommend, with specific reasons. The Rejection List aggregates all sub-50-score products across categories.

3. Cross-platform price verification

"Lowest price" in any guide is measured across all six tracked marketplaces within the last 24 hours, not last week's screenshot. Final price on the retailer's checkout page is always authoritative.

4. Update cadence

Every guide carries the date it was published or last refreshed. Methodology changes are versioned and announced. Articles older than 90 days flag automatically for editor review before any new traffic is sent to them.

5. Corrections policy

If a recommendation is factually wrong — bad spec, mislabelled price, outdated feature claim — email hello@chayankart.com and we will publish a correction within 72 hours, marked at the top of the affected guide.
