Why we exist
Every Indian shopper has the same problem: too many products, too many fake-looking reviews, too many "Top 10" lists that all rank the same 10 best-selling products without saying why. Amazon and Flipkart aren't trying to help you decide — they're trying to make you buy. The hundreds of affiliate sites that copy their rankings aren't trying to help either — they just want the click.
ChayanKart is different by design. We're not a marketplace and we're not a content farm. We're a small editorial team that picks one category at a time, scores every serious product in that category against a transparent formula, and publishes both the winners and the rejections.
What ChayanKart is
- A decision engine. Every product gets a Chayan Score (0-100) computed from 5 weighted public signals. Formula and weights are published on the Methodology page.
- A cross-marketplace tool. We track prices across Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, and Reliance — and show you who's cheapest in real time.
- A trust mechanism. We publish the products we considered and rejected. We name our authors. We disclose every affiliate relationship.
- Free. Always will be. Affiliate commissions cover the cost. Sponsorship and paid placement never will.
What ChayanKart is NOT
- Not a marketplace. You can't buy from us directly. We send you to whichever marketplace has the best price for the product you want.
- Not a paid promoter. Brands cannot pay to be ranked higher, included, or removed.
- Not a physical lab. We don't physically test products in-house. Our differentiator is methodology + cross-marketplace data + radical transparency about both — not lab equipment. We're honest about this on every page.
- Not an AI content farm. Every article is written or edited by a named human author. AI may help research, never write final prose.
Our principles
Honesty over revenue
If we don't recommend something popular, we say so. Even if it costs short-term affiliate revenue. Long-term reader trust is the asset.
Transparency over mystique
The Chayan Score formula is public. Weights are public. Data sources are public. Changes are logged. No black box.
Authors over "Team"
Every article has a named author who's accountable. You can email them. If you find an error, we update — and credit you.
Restraint over scale
We'd rather publish 50 great articles than 500 thin ones. Quality is the moat in 2026.

How we make money

Why "ChayanKart"?
"Chayan" (चयन) means selection or choice in Hindi and Sanskrit. "Kart" is universally understood — it's the cart you fill. ChayanKart is the cart where careful selection happens before purchase.
