The short version
We collect what's required to run a useful site — no more. Page-view analytics, anonymised behaviour recordings, server logs, and (if and when you submit one) your email or contact message. We do not sell data, do not run third-party advertising trackers, and do not share visitor information with the brands we rank.
What we collect
1. Google Analytics 4 (page views, traffic sources)
We use Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-R96P7PL3HJ) to understand which pages are useful, where readers come from, and roughly how visitors move through the site. GA4 sets first-party cookies and processes data in line with Google's privacy policy. We have IP anonymisation enabled and do not use GA4 for ad personalisation, audience export, or signals integrations.
2. Microsoft Clarity (anonymised session insights)
We use Microsoft Clarity (project x9jw12q9ar) to see heatmaps and aggregated session recordings — used to debug confusing UI and improve the cluster cards. Clarity automatically masks text inputs and personal data, and we never link recordings to identifiable individuals. Recordings expire automatically per Clarity's retention defaults.
3. Newsletter email (if and when you subscribe)
Our newsletter signup is currently disabled. When we re-enable it, the only data we will store is the email you submit — to send you the newsletter, and nothing else. You will be able to unsubscribe from any issue using the link in the footer of every email. We will never sell, rent, or share your email with any third party.
4. Contact form submissions
If you submit our contact form, we receive your name, email, and message via the form processor and store them only long enough to reply. We do not add you to any marketing list. If you'd prefer not to use a form, email us directly at hello@chayankart.com.
5. Standard server logs
Our hosting provider (Hostinger) keeps standard server logs — IP address, user agent, request paths, and timestamps — for security, abuse prevention, and debugging. Logs are retained for ~30 days and are not used for marketing or profiling.
What we do NOT collect or do
- No advertising trackers. No Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok pixel, programmatic ad networks, or third-party retargeting.
- No data sale. We have never sold, and will never sell, any visitor data to any third party.
- No brand-side sharing. The brands and retailers we rank do not receive your data from us. They only learn that a click came from ChayanKart if you click through an affiliate link.
- No cross-site tracking. We don't load social-media SDKs (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). Share buttons, if any, are plain links that do not fire until you click them.
Cookies on this site
The cookies actually set by chayankart.com are listed below. Affiliate-link clicks also pass through linksredirect.com (Cuelinks's attribution layer), which may set or read cookies for commission attribution. The destination merchant (Croma, Amazon, etc.) sets its own cookies on its own domain. Those are governed by Cuelinks's and the merchant's privacy policies, not ours.

If you'd rather not be measured, your browser's Do-Not-Track setting is respected (we exit early in analytics-init.js when DNT is enabled), and you can install any standard tracker blocker without affecting site functionality.
Affiliate disclosure
When you click a "Buy on …" link on ChayanKart, your click is briefly redirected through linksredirect.com (operated by Cuelinks, our affiliate-attribution provider) before landing on the merchant's product page. Cuelinks may set or read cookies for attribution purposes; this happens entirely server-side during the redirect. We never see your purchase details, payment information, or shipping address — only Cuelinks's aggregated commission reports. See our full disclosure.
Your rights
Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 and equivalents like the EU GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access any data we hold about you (in practice, just your newsletter email if you subscribed)
- Correct any data we have
- Delete your data — including unsubscribing from the newsletter
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Request data portability

Children's privacy
ChayanKart is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please email us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we will update the date at the top of this page and notify newsletter subscribers via email.
